Miller off to a good start
TIFFIN–Tiffin University freshman basketball player, and 2017 Wellsville graduate, Justin Miller enjoyed an impressive first season season with the Dragons.
Miller started 19 out of 28 games and led Tiffin in three-point percentage at 40.5 percent. Miller averaged a respectable 8.5 points per game, to go with 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. He scored a season-high 21 points in an overtime loss to Northwood University. Other notable performances were a 16-point effort against Ferris State and a 13-point effort against Lake Superior State. Miller also did well in the classroom, as he posted a 3.44 GPA as a Business Administration/Sports Management major. Tiffin finished the season 7-21 overall and 3-17 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. As a senior at Wellsville, Miller was honored as the Morning Journal All-Area Player of the Year and was also the Columbiana County Player of the Year. He helped lead the Tigers to a Division IV district final as a junior and an Inter-Tri County League White Division title as a senior.
