Beavers stumble at United

HANOVERTON — Dakota Hill had 22 points as United ripped off its 14th win by taking down Beaver Local 55-46 on Tuesday.

Parker Hydrick added eight points and nine assists for the Eagles. Landon Baker had eight boards.

Josh Hilditch led the Beavers (5-13) with 11 points.

United (14-5) is at Lowellville on Friday.

The Eagles won the jayvee game, 38-35. Keaton Baker paced the Eagles with 13 points.

COLUMBIANA — Erik Hopfenziz had 18 points and 10 rebounds as Columbiana beat Southern 50-39 on Tuesday in an Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference contest.

Jared Wilson added 11 points and seven assists for the Clippers, 6-13.

Cameron Grodhaus had 12 points to lead Southern. Jayce Sloan had nine rebounds.

Southern falls to 9-10, 5-9.

Columbiana hosts McDonald on Friday.

Columbiana won the jayvee portion, 58-46. Chase Franken had 13 points for the Clippers.

EAST PALESTINE — Justin Sweeney had 30 points as Lisbon took down East Palestine 61-51 on Tuesday night.

Branson Brownfield added 15 points for the Devils.

Clayton Murray had 20 points to lead the Bulldogs, while Dominic Posey added 18 points.

East Palestine won the jayvee game, 55-52. Dalton Vance had 17 points for Palestine. Michael Davis and Kaden Crawford had 17 points each for Lisbon.
