Potters record second straight

EAST LIVERPOOL — Days removed from breaking a 32-game losing streak, the East Liverpool girls basketball team is now on a winning streak.

The Potter girls got their second win of the season with a 52-40 win over Edison on Tuesday night.

East Liverpool is 2-10 on the campaign.

Emma Ludwig sparked the winners with 18 points, while Allesandra Perazzano and McKenzie McKinnon had nine points each.

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Oak Glen’s girls basketball team was on target in a 49-28 win over Wellsville on Tuesday.

Oak Glen improves to 4-6. Wellsville falls to 1-11.

Maggie Kovalcik had 15 points for the Golden Bears, while Alexa Andrews chipped in nine points.

Menina Jackson had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers.

Oak Glen is at Beaver Local on Thursday. Wellsville is at Lisbon on Thursday.
