Tigers unable to catch up to Blue Devils

WELLSVILLE — Western Reserve snuck by Wellsville 5-4 on Friday.

The Blue Devils improve to 12-2 this season, while the Tigers fall to 5-7.

Justin Ciccone paced Western Reserve with three singles, two RBIs and two runs scored. Dom Velasquez had two singles and two runs scored along with picking up the save.

For the Tigers, Jeremy Barton went 3-for-4, Anthony Petrelle went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Matt Rawson went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Wellsville hosts East Palestine Monday.

COLUMBIANA — Colin Sweeney laced two singles, a double and four RBIs to lead Lisbon past Crestview 12-0 on Friday.

Logan Bell had a single, double and three RBIs for the Blue Devils. Noah Barnes picked up the victory, while collecting a single and RBI at the plate.

For the Rebels, Caleb Hill, Kaden Davis and Dylan Ball each singled.

Cole Corbin collected two hits for the Tigers, while Connor Ramsey and Jonathon Walker each had three RBIs.
