Beavers get two from Niles

NILES–The Beaver Local softball team blasted Niles in a doubleheader Saturday.

The Beavers won the first game 12-0 behind a home run two RBIs and three runs scored by Bailee Rinestine. Rinestine also contributed a pair of singles and earned the win. Mikayla Shulas also went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs.

The Beavers won the second game 18-4. Hannah Call went 4-for-4 with three runs and an RBI, while also earning the win. Leah Pancake went 5-for-5 with three doubles and five RBIs.

The Beavers are now 4-11 overall and are at Buckeye Local on Monday.

East Liverpool

at John Marshall

GLEN DALE, W.Va. — East Liverpool lost a pair of games to John Marshall by three runs each on Saturday.

The Potters were blanked 3-0 in the first game. Skye Stokes and Cyna Burton each had hits for the Potters in that one.

The Potters fell 4-1 in the second game. Stokes had a home run in the first inning to lead the Potters.

East Liverpool is 6-13 and is at Steubenville on Monday.
