SOCCER: Potters make quick work of Weir

WEIRTON, W.Va.-The East Liverpool volleyball team made short work of Weir Wednesday, winning in straight sets, 25-11, 25-14, 25-11.

Sierra Voorhees led the Potters (4-1) with 17 points and 11 assists, while Caitlyn Davis registered 10 points and 12 kills and Kiandria Cowart had 11 kills.

The Potters won the jayvee match 25-23, 25-8 to move to 3-2.

Gabbi Reinhart had 10 points and eight assists for the Potters.

Beavers split

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va-The Beaver Local volleyball team came away with a split at a tri-match with Oak Glen and Brooke Wednesday.

The Beavers (4-4) started off the night with a 25-21, 25-11 loss to the Golden Bears.

For Beaver Local, Sam Kendall had seven kills and Ashlyn Milhoan had six points.

Taylor Allison had 10 points and seven kills for the the Golden Bears, while Jessica Stivason had 10 points and six kills and Emmy Delekta had 14 points and 18 assists.

The Beavers defeated Brooke 25-17, 25-20 in their second match. Ashton Roberts had six digs for Beaver Local, while Lynsey Reckner had six points.

The Beavers host John Marshall on Monday.
