SEBRING-Kelsi Settle had a double, a single and two runs scored as Sebring blanked Southern 7-0 in Div. IV sectional softball action Tuesday.

Sydney Smith pitched a two-hitter as the sixth-seeded Trojans advance to play at third-seeded Columbiana today.

Hailee Polen and Brooke Spencer singled for the 10th-seeded Indians (4-15).

Southern does not have any remaining games on the schedule.

Wellsville 16, Youngstown Christian 1

YOUNGSTOWN – Wellsville conquered Youngstown Christian, 16-1, in five innings in a Division IV sectional tournament opener Tuesday.

“I’m very proud of these girls,” Wellsville coach Joe Soldano said. “It’s the first tournament win in a very long time for Wellsville.”

Toni Lombardozzi had a double and three singles, Mystic Beatty had a triple and two singles and Sarah Dalrymple had three singles for the Tigers.

Youngstown Christian’s Limbeck had a double and the only hit.

Wellsville (8-13) will play at top-seeded Western Reserve today.

NORTH JACKSON-Maddie Tomaino hit a game-winning single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Jackson-Milton over Lisbon 1-0 in Div. IV sectional softball action Tuesday.

Allison Cosma and Cheyanne Gostey each singled for the eighth-seeded Blue Devils (6-13).

Fifth-seeded Jackson-Milton advances to play at fourth-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas today.
