Oak Glen relay triumphs at Park

WHEELING – Oak Glen’s girls 3200-meter relay team took first place honors to lead the Golden Bears on Saturday at the Dick Dei Track Classic at Wheeling Park High School.

Christen Mangano, Alexis Arnott, Felicity Nolder and Kelsey Chambers ran the race in 10:16 to win.

Chambers was also second in the 1600 (2:23.12) and 800 (2:27.45).

Arnott checked in at third in the 400 (1:03.93).

Megan Nally took fifth in the 100 hurdles (17.67), while Tori Feicht was sixth in the 300 hurdles (53.47).

Casey Baird was sixth in the 3200 (13:35).

Oak Glen’s girls finished seventh out of 13 teams. Wheeling Park won the team title.

On the boys’ side, Cody Tropeck was fourth in the 800 (2:07) and Chris Burnham was fourth in the 300 hurdles (43.05).

The Bears’ 400 relay team of Micah Swiger, Chris Bailey, David Campbell and Dakota Price was fourth (45.07). The 800 relay team of Burham, Bailey, Swiger and Campbell was fourth in 1:35.05.

Campbell, Tropeck, Bailey and Burnham took fourth in the 1600 relay as well (3:37.44).

Oak Glen’s boys finished eighth our of 14 teams. Dunbar was the champion.
