Almost every business I can think of trains their employees and encourages promotion from within. Schools should be the same....the professional ladder for an educator is teacher, principal, superintendent. If a teacher has worked hard, been successful and is dedicated to the district, then 100% YES they should be promoted. What better way than that is there to encourage growth among a staff? All schools should take a look at doing that! They already have many exceptional candidates waiting for a chance.
