WELLSVILLE-Zane Michael Carter, age 24, of Wellsville passed away on Aug. 8 2014.
The son of Marvin Quinn Carter and Bernadette (Coles) Carter, he was born in Steubenville, Ohio on Sept. 9, 1989 and had lived his entire life in Wellsville last working in telemarketing.
Zane was a graduate of Wellsville High School and received a Bachelors Degree in Broadcasting from Marietta College. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellsville, enjoyed playing Adult League Football and Basketball while working with children.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Billy Sloan and Jeremy Carter both of Wellsville, his paternal grandmother, Alice Carter of Columbus and maternal grandfather, Sam Coles of Wellsville. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Jordan Sloan, Caiden Carter, Trent Sloan, Gianna Hill, and Phaeton Hill and his God daughter, Zaleaha Douglas.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth Carter and his maternal grandmother, Mary Maddox.
Services will be held in the gymnasium at the Wellsville High School on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014 at 4 p.m. with Eddie H. Renfroe, Pastor of Lee's Chapel AME Church officiating.
Friends may visit with the family at the high school from 10 a.m. until time of services at 4 p.m.
Arrangements are being handled by the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes.
