HOOKSTOWN - A hike that guides participants toward "Discovering the Wildflower Reserve" is 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Raccoon Lake State Park's Wildflower Reserve Interpretive Center, state Route 30. Hikers get to discover the historic Hungerford Cabin, the forested banks of Raccoon Creek, the late summer wildflowers, and the hogback of Audubon Trail during this 3.5-mile hike, which does include a few hills. HOOKSTOWN - The Frankfort Mineral Springs Tour is 10-11:30 a.m. Monday, beginning at the Frankfort Mineral Springs parking area, state Route 18. The historic Frankfort Mineral Springs complex was constructed in the early 1800s and thrived for nearly 100 years as a popular resort, best known for its mineral water, once believed to have "healing qualities." The free guided tour will look back at the people and events that shaped the history of this once famous area. Be prepared for rough uneven terrain at Raccoon Lake State Park, that might be wet.
