EAST LIVERPOOL - Franklin County Commissioner Paula Brooks was appointed to President Obama's White House Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resilience last year and is in the process of gathering recommendations to help communities better prepare for the impacts of climate. She will be visiting Kent State East Liverpool at noon on Monday, in the campus' Quiet Study Lounge.

LISBON - The Moving Wall, a half-size replica of The Vietnam Wall in Washington, D.C., is scheduled to arrive at the County fairgrounds on Sept. 11. Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12.
A "Ceremony of Laying of the Roses" for each name of local residents listed on The Wall will take place at this time. Family members who wish to participate in this ceremony to honor their loved one are asked to contact Director Sharen Cope at 330-222-1914 by Sept. 8.
