The Review
Firefighters from Calcutta, Glenmoor and Negley responded to the Gretchen’s Lock area of Beaver Creek State Park Sunday afternoon to assist 69-year-old Woodrow Bartlett of East Liverpool. Woodrow was fishing when he slipped on mud and fell, striking his head on a stone. He was brought from a wooded area on a four-wheeler driven by Calcutta Assistant Chief Dave McCoy to a waiting North Star Critical Care ambulance. Calcutta Chief Scott Smith said Bartlett was sitting up and coherent but was transported to the hospital for evaluation. (Photo by Jo Ann Bobby-Gilbert)
