NEW CUMBERLAND-Freddie "Nick" Fisher, 75, of New Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014.
Born June 30, 1939 in Chester, W.Va., he was a son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Davis) Fisher.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a graduate of Wells High School and was a former custodian for Beaver Local Schools.
Nick was a devoted member of the Chester Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas, John, Jack, Gene, Bill, Harvey, and Donald Fisher; and his sisters, Gladys Kuhn, Dorothy Newland, Twila Hanlon, and Shirley Heath.
Surviving are his loving wife, Rudelle (Reed) Fisher of New Cumberland; three sons, Frederick Timothy (Susan) Fisher of Wellsville, Ray Fisher (Missy Macek) of New Cumberland; and Roy Fisher of Newell; two daughters, Tammy Rawson (Dennis Lambo) of Wellsville and Cindy (Jeffery) Finkbeiner of Wellsville; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Geraldine Adams of Glenmoor, Frances Ridgedale of Chester and Marjorie Brewer of Lisbon.
Visitation was held Thursday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014. Pastor Tim Bess will be officiating.
Burial will follow in the Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester, W.Va. The Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will conduct military honors.
