SPANKS, writes a reader, to a local landscape company that told me it didn't have time to cut my lawn due to football practice. Shouldn't business come first?
SPANKS, writes a reader, to the lady who found it necessary to make negative comments at the benefit that was held Aug. 9 in the East End of the city. A big Thanks, however, to everyone for their support.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to a local high school for eliminating its library by throwing thousands of books and all the bookshelves into a dumpster. Those books could have been sold, donated, or at the very least recycled. What a waste of taxpayer dollars to say nothing of 51 years of tradition and academics, all tossed in a landfill.
THANKS, writes a reader, to those who organized, hosted and supported the Veteran's Appreciation Day. It was a great day to visit with old friends.
THANKS, writes a reader, to the kind and trustworthy person who turned my debit card into BP in Calcutta.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to those who only visit the graves of relatives one or two times a year then misdirect their feelings of guilt and grief by complaining about the performance of the employees and volunteers who work tirelessly every day, all year long, to beautify the cemeteries.
THANKS, writes a reader, to local resident Cory Carr who took time to help my mother when she took a fall at a local park. It's nice to know there are still good people out there.
THANKS, writes a reader, to the young man who lives on Curry Street for stopping and helping my family when we were in need of help in the backyard. It's nice to know there still are some nice people in the world today.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to the East Liverpool and Chester city street departments for the excess amounts of gravel left in the streets due to runoff from the heavy storms. Do they have shovels to do the work?
THANKS, writes a reader, to Larry for helping 10 people left stranded on their way to the Toby Keith concert. Chester, what a nice town with a caring mayor.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to a pizza shop that is rather stingy when it comes to the portion size when ordering extra cheese.
