PIONEER VILLAGE COMES TO LIFE

August 3, 2014
The Review
Gail Bable of East Palestine spins some alpaca fiber on her reproduction spinning wheel Saturday at The Friends of Beaver Creek State Park’s “Pioneer Village Comes to Life.” Bable spins many different types of fiber, from wool to fur from her great pyrenees, which she notes is the warmest of the materials she works with. “Pioneer Village Comes to Life” features reenactors like Bable practicing their craft in era-specific clothing, recreating the day to day life of early settlers.
