Linda Grate, McCracken Road, Salem, reported Wednesday she was outside with her goats and a neighbor stood on his fence, shook his fist at her and yelled at her in a threatening manner. She asked for a report to be on file.
Kathy Show, Desellem Road, Lisbon, reported at 7:50 p.m. Thursday her son threw things around her house and broke the storm door. She also believed her son and his friend stole a Dewalt Radial Arm Saw from the home. Her son reportedly told her he took it to Prestige Pawn in Chester, W.Va. and got $30 for it. He also asked her for $20 and when she refused he began to tear up the house. Then he took a new, 18-inch Poulan Chainsaw and left.
Deputies attempted to check on two people at a home on Salem-Alliance Road for an employee of Family Recovery at 3:54 p.m. Thursday. The neighbor told deputies they had moved to Salem, but she did not know where.
Venita Tschappatt, Clewell Drive, Lisbon, reported at 8:23 p.m. Thursday she recently broke up with her boyfriend, but he continues to call and text her. Deputies left him a message requesting he stop.
Rudy Cyphert, Spillway Road, Lisbon, reported at 4 p.m. Thursday someone broke off several pieces of his wooden fence. He was unsure when it happened.
Jessy Castelucci, U.S. Route 62, Salem, reported a man cursing at everyone in the trailer park and taunting them to fight. Deputies found Anthony Farland, 49, who lives in a trailer on lot 201, and appeared very intoxicated. Deputies tried to explain to him this was the second week in a row they were called there for the same behavior, adding he needed to go inside and remain there. About five minutes later, deputies saw him come back out and start yelling and cursing again. He was charged with disorderly conduct and taken to the county jail.
A domestic argument was reported in the area of Camp Boulevard at 10:19 p.m. Thursday. Deputies spoke to Sarah Weddell, who said her parents were arguing earlier and her mother left. Deputies checked the area for both the mother and father, but neither were still around.
Denise Hays, Wellsville Avenue, Lisbon, reported at 10:08 p.m. Thursday a man she knows has been driving around the neighborhood recklessly, and she asked him to slow down. The man reported cursed at her and threatened her if she did not be quiet about it. Deputies told her to avoid him and contact them if he is driving recklessly again.
Melody DeWitt, Lusk Lock Road, Lisbon, reported at 11:04 p.m. Thursday she applied for a job with Gaston Roberts on the Ohio Means Jobs website. The company is supposed to be in Leetonia. After applying she heard from a company, the Shumaker Group, which set up a chat session with her via Yahoo Messenger. After chatting with them, she was told they would send her a check in the mail to purchase the computer equipment she needed for the job. She started researching the company and learned someone has been using the company name Shumaker Group as a scam. She was advised her to contact local police.
