CHESTER - The CHS Class of 1949 will meet for a picnic at 1 p.m. July 24 at Chester City Park.
LISBON - The Help Hotline Crisis Center's support group of the Survivors of Suicide, in Columbiana County, will be held at 6 p.m. July 24 at the Counseling Center, state Route 154.
It is a support group for families who have lost a loved one to suicide.

LISBON - The Columbiana County MHRS Board and the Counseling Center are hosting free training on the Culture of Addiction, from 1-4:30 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Columbiana County Department of Job and Family Services, 7989 Dickey Drive, Lisbon. The training will address the cultural aspects of addiction that are key to recovery. Open to the public. Registration is required by contacting the MHRS Board office at 330-424-0195. Registration deadline is Aug.1.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center will host a fun family-oriented water quality workshop from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday. The workshop will be presented by Kathy Cattrell and Jim Kerr, and participants will be able to assist in collecting and identifying macroinvertebrates from Beaver Creek. Other water quality tests will be completed as well. Participants should meet by the iron bridge down in the park, and should wear boots or old shoes if they want to get in the stream to help collect samples.
