EAST LIVERPOOL-Michael J. Jasenec, 59 of East Liverpool died Friday, July 11, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family following a lengthy illness.
Mike was born in East Liverpool on May 1, 1955 a son of Steve Jasenec and the late Tina (Vyskoc) Jasenec. Having lived his entire life in the area Mike was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1973 and attended Youngstown State University for 2 years. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Campbell Transportation for the past 8 years, having last worked in April.
Mike played baseball in the Old Timers League as well as the Chester City Softball League. He had also coached Kiwanis Soccer. Mike had a fond love of windmills. He loved them so much that he built one himself. He also enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. He was affectionately known as Pap Pap to his grandchildren. He cherished his time spent with them and the many fishing adventures they shared.

Mike is survived by his wife Patricia (Varian) Jasenec, whom he married Feb. 17, 1978; two daughters: Angela Six and her husband Ray of East Liverpool and Ashley Jasenec of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers: Victor Jasenec of Lake Tomahawk and Steven Jasenec of East Liverpool; a sister: Marie Ward of Poland, Ohio; and four grandchildren: Ashlyn Six, Brooklyn Six, Caetlyn Six and Dillyn Six all of East Liverpool.
Funeral Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. with officiating ministers, Rev. Tom Adkins of Campground Community and Rev. David Price of Wesleyan Methodist Church in Washington, Pa.
Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2014
