PULASKI, Tenn. - James Ryan Proctor, of Pulaski, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Southern Regional Healthcare System of Pulaski.
He was born in Bethlehem, Pa., on Aug. 8, 1918, and was 95 years old.
He grew up in East Liverpool where he was a member of the Elks Club and was a teacher and coach. He later moved to Columbia, Tenn. He became a Christian and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Bradshaw Cemetery with Pastor Mickey Buford officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert H. Proctor and Rhoda Ryan Proctor; his wife, Gladys Meadows Proctor in 2011; brothers, Robert, Richard, and John; and sisters, Margaret Styles and Louise Heinz.
He is survived by his daughter, Alexis (Charles) Miller of Pulaski; sons, James R. (Nora) Proctor and Matthew R. Proctor of Florida; sisters, Pat Solarz, Katy Norris, and Cindy Bedell; brothers, William and Thomas Proctor of Florida; and grandchildren, Joey (Ted) Przyzycki, (Anthony and Annika), of Georgia, Alex (Breanne) Miller of Florida, Luke (Courtney), (Lukas, Claire, and Cate), of Virginia, Lee (Carla) Miller, of Tennessee, Reed Miller of Tennessee, and Ross Proctor and James Proctor of Florida.
