A jury trial has been set for the Salem man accused of manufacturing methamphetamine in his apartment in October.
Christopher Neiswonger, 42, 192 W. Pershing St., appeared before Common Pleas Court Judge C. Ashley Pike Friday morning for a status conference. The trial is set for 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Neiswonger pleaded not guilty in December to the charge of illegal possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs. He was originally taken in custody by police in early October following an investigation by the Columbiana County Drug Task Force, Salem Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration, who executed a search warrant on his apartment following a domestic violence complaint.
Also in court on Thursday, James M. Rush, 56, Huber Heights, stipulated to violating his probation, which was dishonorably terminated. He was released after serving 10 days in jail, which he was sentenced. He was on five years probation for non-support of dependents in 2009.
