The Review
The Columbiana Nazarene Church is hosting a car-truck-bike cruise from 6-9 p.m. every other Tuesday. Admission, registration and parking is free. Trophies will be awarded for pastor’s choice, oldest and best- of-show entries. The next scheduled cruise is July 22 in conjunction with the vacation Bible school week that has a car theme this year. Other scheduled cruises are Aug. 5 and 19 and Sept. 9 and 23. Questions can be emailed to Ben McCormick of Leetonia brought his 1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe. The 1940 Chevy is all original except for the battery and still sports the capital A gasoline rationing sticker on the windshield from the days of World War II. According to Wikipedia, the A sticker entitled the owner to get 3-4 gallons of gasoline per week. McCormick said his car gets about 18.5 miles per gallon and can easily go 60-70 mph with its 6-cylinder engine. He has owned the car for five years. (Photo by Patti Scheffer)
