EAST LIVERPOOL-For seniors living alone, a simple phone call can make all the difference in the world.
A familiar voice, a friendly chat or maybe just a simple reminder-they all make remaining independent a little more comfortable. However, with loved ones and relatives leading busier and busier lives, these vital phone calls may become increasingly rare.
While the modern world can make reaching out to seniors difficult, Always Best Care Senior Services makes it easier than ever with a new free program called "Always in Touch."
Since 1996, Always Best Care has been providing compassionate in-home, non-medical care to more than 25,000 seniors through a vast network of independently-owned franchises across the nation. They have an easy-to-find franchise office in downtown East Liverpool. Here franchise owner Pam Puorro stands ready to provide area seniors with a wide range of services that make living at home safer and more convenient. She is proud to introduce "Always in Touch" as another service that helps make high quality care accessible to all seniors.
"Always Best Care's mission is to provide the best in-home care for seniors and 'Always in Touch' is a way to accomplish that using daily phone calls," said Puorro.
While it may be hard to believe that a helpful service like "Always in Touch" is truly free, it is. Puorro says it's Always Best Care's way of giving back to the community with no strings attached.
There are no gimmicks, obligations or sales talks, just friendly phone calls one to five times per week, she says. The calls can be tailored to meet the needs to each individual senior. Whether its medication reminders, daily check-in calls, or just a conversation, Always in Touch will serve the diverse needs of seniors.
It is a simple program in a complicated world, and best of all, it's free, says Puorro
