"My Fellow Americans" ... just quoting one of our former presidents. It wasn't an earth-shattering opening, but it seemed to draw your attention.
A lot like the current situation in Iraq.
I think I'm like most Americans in total disgust of our never-ending willingness to become involved in winless, useless, armed conflicts abroad.
I have to admit I would have lost a lifetime fortune betting that we would never involve our country's bravest, uncountable financial loss and a total disregard for the wants and wishes of the American people after the Vietnam conflict. How wrong I would have been.
One can only wonder the travesties that will occur when our military and financial presence is no longer in Afghanistan. I think it's time for another famous quote ... "The buck stops here."
On a lighter note, recently our infamous Governor Christie has once again renewed his bid to be a candidate for president in 2016 by spanning across America or maybe he's just trying to "Bridge the Gap."
