WELLSVILLE - Rex L. Wright, 76, of Wellsville, died Monday, June 9, 2014, at home.
He was born Oct. 6, 1937, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Ralph Wright and the late Viola "Irene" (Masters) Wright Cronin.
Rex served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was employed for more than 30 years as an electrician for Sammis Plant before retiring in 2000. He was a member and past commander of American Legion Post 70, as well as a member of the Amvets.
Survivors include one daughter, Kelli Wright of Youngstown; two sons, Dan Wright and his wife, Marianna, of Wheeling, and Patrick Wright and his wife, Sondra, of East Liverpool; one brother, Paul; three granddaughters, Amber Wright, Brittany Wright, and Ashlee Wright; two grandsons, Kaleb Wright and Michael Buchheit; and one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Beck.
In addition to his parents, Rex was preceded in death by his sister, Paula.
The funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the Roberts Funeral Home. Full military honors will be accorded by the Tri-State Burial Group.
