Mike was a hard worker and never turned down shifts at the First Energy Samis Plant in Stratton, where he was a yard operator.
He proudly served his country with the US Air Force, and he loved spending time at the Elks lodge 258 in East Liverpool.
To say that he was huge sports fan would be an understatement. He was glued to the television if any of the Pittsburgh sports teams or any Ohio state Buckeyes teams were on.
In addition to his wife and children, Mike will be sadly missed by his family including, his sisters, Christy Ward and husband Steve of East Liverpool, and Julie Prande and husband John of Kearney, Neb.; his brothers, Steve and Jeff Renner of East Liverpool and Rick Renner and wife Haiyen of Rockwell, Texas; and his step mother, Donna Renner of East Liverpool. Krista's boyfriend, Aaron Long, and Mike's dog Princess Rose, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, especially Kim and Fred Langer and Janet and Pete Dudgeon, who he loved spending time with, are extremely saddened by his loss.
Besides his mom and dad, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in law, Dr. George L. and Genevieve T. LaNeve.
In fulfilling Mike's wishes a private grave side service will be held at Riverview Cemetery, at the convenience of the family, and a celebration of his life is being planned for a later date.
