TORONTO -Mary Sue (Knight) Hodovanic of Toronto, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Toronto and was actively involved in numerous church functions.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Michael J. Hodovanic, Jr., infant daughter Michelle Marie, and two sisters, Marjorie Williams and Doris Edwards, both of Georgia.
Surviving are her sons, Dr. Michael J. Hodovanic III and his wife Beatrice, of Cincinnati and Richard M. Hodovanic and his wife Penelope, of East Liverpool; her dear friend and companion Joseph Quattrone of Steubenville; her three grandchildren, Kelly and Kristen Hodovanic of Cincinnati and Patrick Hodovanic of Youngstown; one brother, Graham Knight of Reidsville, Ga.; three sisters, Lucy Seltenright of Los Angeles, Calif., Willie Jo Dowdy and Barbara Dreggors both of Glennville, Ga.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Mary Sue's friends who cared for her as she battled her illness.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 1225 N. River Ave. in Toronto. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Thursday, June 12 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Thomas Vennitti as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Empire-Jefferson Co., OH.
