Mark Daniels, Georgetown, Pa., reported at 2 p.m. May 29 someone put a $2,000 gas bill from Daniels Plumbing, Main Street, in his name.
Angel Wright was cited for OVI after a traffic stop on state Route 7 at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday. She reportedly ran a stop sign and was going 40 mph in a 25 mph zone. She had a .117 BAC.
Police were called at 12:34 p.m. June 4 to the area of Commerce and Fourth streets for reports of a small child alone in the street. Upon arrival, they met with four witnesses who said they saw the girl two blocks away with no pants on. One woman said she knew the child's home and took her there, knocking on the door with no reply. Officers went to the address on Commerce Street and tried as well, with no response. They were about to leave with the girl when her mother, Melanie Wood, finally emerged. Wood was also taken to the station. County Children Services was notified of the case, including the bite marks located on the girl's arms and lower back, and instructed police to release the child to her mother. Statements were taken from the witnesses, and Wood was charged with child endangerment. She was also served with a prior traffic citation.
At 12:30 a.m. on May 29, Sherry Scarabino of Commerce Street reported that an unknown person had taken a brick and broken out one of the tail lights on her 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier. Witnesses said they saw a person running down an alley toward Anderson Avenue.
