The Review
Southbound traffic on state Route 2 slowly makes its way past construction barrels on Tuesday afternoon while crews work to add a northbound left-turn lane for Quaker State Road. The West Virginia Division of Highways project also involves the installation of a piling wall, lighting, paved shoulders, drainage improvements and pavement markings. The Ohio-West Virginia Excavating Co., of Powhatan Point, Ohio, is doing the work at a cost of $1.2 million. Traffic both ways on Route 2 is being controlled by temporary traffic signals. The project is expected to be complete by the end of August. (Photo by Stephen Huba)
