BEAVER - Joseph Martin Ciancone, 65 of Patterson Township and formerly of Midland, passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver on June 1, 2014, with his family at his side.
Born June 13, 1948, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Sadie Polovina Ciancone and Joseph J. Ciancone.
Marty was a 1966 graduate of Lincoln High School, Midland, where he lettered in football, baseball and golf. Marty made the all-county football team, both his junior and senior year. After attending Kansas State College, he worked at Crucible Steel, Colt Industries, Midland.

Marty enjoyed golfing, dancing, traveling and spending time with family and friends along with being a loyal Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirate fan.
He will be sadly missed by the love of his life, Ginger Katzenmeyer McKeown for the past 26 years; his family, Michael (Patty) McKeown, Patterson Heights, Patrick (Heidi) McKeown, Pappilion, Neb.; a very special aunt and favorite golf partner, Therese Ciancone, Midland; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and loyal friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Randy Shemerfor for his compassion and caring, the wonderful nurses at Good Samaritan Hospice and the staff at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland, where a service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Beaver Cemetery.
