The Review
This unoccupied house at 918 Harvey Ave. sustained damage primarily to the first story Friday morning after a fire of unknown origin started on the floor, extended to the exterior wall, burned out the floor and went into the basement. No fire extended to the second floor, according to fire officials, who said there was no electrical service connected to the house, which is owned by JP Morgan Chase Bank. The alarm was raised at 8:54 a.m., and the two firefighters on duty arrived on the scene at 9 a.m., when a third alarm was sounded, bringing an additional four firefighters out. They spent about an hour at the scene. It was not immediately known by fire officials if the structure is insured. (Submitted Photo)
