ST. CLAIRSVILLE - The Oak Glen and Beaver Local track teams were out Saturday for the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Championships at St. Clairsville High School.
The Oak Glen girls team finished eighth overall with 49 1/2 points, and were led by Kelsey Chambers, who picked up third-place finishes in both the 800 meters (2:26.13) and the 1600 meters (5:17.84), sixth in the 3200 run (12:04.25), and joined Christen Mangano, Alex Arnott and Felicity Holder was on the second-place 3200 relay team (9:59.31).
Arnott was eighth in the 400 (63.48), and seventh in the 1600 relay (4:31.67) along with Mangano, Felicity Nolder and Natelie Chappell.
The team of Tori Feicht, Kimberly Smith, Marissa Nolder and Megan Nally finished seventh in the 400 shuttle hurdles (1:10.47), and Autumn Moninger placed 10th in the high jump (4-6).
The Oak Glen boys finished 14th with 37 1/2 points, and saw its best performance courtesy of a third-place finish from Cody Tropeck, Chris Burnham, Chris Bailey and David Campbell in the 1600 relay (3:40.77).
Tropeck also placed sixth in the 3200 relay (8:26.08) alongside Cyle Perez, Zach Mynes and Brock Smith, while Burnham, Bailey, Campbell and Micah Swiger placed seventh in the 800 relay (1:33.99), and Swiger, Bailey, Campbell and Dakota Price placed fifth in the 400 relay (44.64).
Burnham also placed 11th in the 300 hurdles (43.59) while Swiger placed 13th in the long jump (19-3 1/2), Tropeck placed 15th in the 800 run (2:10.86) and Campbell in 16th in the 200 dash (32.34).
In addition, Noah Mills finished fifth in the discus (138-1) and 16th in shot put (33-0).
The Beaver Local girls track team was also represented as Tannar Dolhun placed ninth in the high jump (4-8).
Wheeling Park won the OVAC championship in the girls meet, while St. Clairsville took the boys title.
