EDGEWATER, Fla. - Phyllis M. Ryan, 93, of Edgewater, Fla., died Monday, May 5, 2014, at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
Born in Carroll County, Ohio, Mrs. Ryan, a homemaker, was a member of the Bert Fish Medical Center Auxiliary and volunteered for 10 years in the hospital's coffee shop, as well as being an Edgewater Library volunteer. Very capable of doing any craft, she loved painting, crocheting, knitting, and sewing; loved spending time with her family, especially her husband; and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (David) Wells of Glendale, Ariz., and Nancy Ryan Bean of Phoenix, Ariz.; one son, Thomas (Mary Lou) Wood of Orlando, Fla.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ryan was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, who died in 2006; and her sister, Mary Myers Ell.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Settle-Wilder's New Smyrna Beach chapel. Calling hours will be noon until service time.
