"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." (Psalm 23:4)
ROCHESTER, Pa. - June Elizabeth Kalinoski Futato went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 87, on April 22, 2014. June was born on June 11, 1926, in Rochester, Pa. She was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Kalinoski, who had two children, one of whom is still living, Richard Kalinoski.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph, on Feb. 19, 2013. They were married on Nov. 22, 1947, in New Brighton, Pa. They were married for 65 years.
June is survived by her three children and their spouses: Janice and Norris Moegerle (East Liverpool); Timothy and Heather Futato (Mechanicsburg, Pa.); and Mark and Adele Futato (Oviedo, Fla.). June was loved by her 10 grandchildren and their spouses: Eric and Daika Moegerle, Amy Moegerle, Margaret Futato, Matthew Futato (who has been waiting in heaven with Pappy for Gaga), Anna and Jonathan Blakemore, Mollie Futato, William Futato, Evan and Angela Futato, Mark Jr. and Desirae Futato, Anne Futato; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to working in the home as a wonderful wife and mother, June worked at Geneva College from 1966 to 1977, serving as the assistant to the faculty of the Bible Department and as the assistant to the Dean of Students. She also worked tirelessly alongside her husband, Rudy, in the management of Beaver Falls Wood Products for 43 years, taking care of the accounting for the entire operation and purchasing and sales for the store.
June faithfully attended the Chippewa Christian & Missionary Alliance Church with her family and even in her later years she was faithful in participating in every function she could possibly attend. Her family will always remember with fondness her cooking and baking, and especially her orchestrating of and presence at family reunions at the Jersey Shore in Wildwood, N.J., for 30 plus years.
The viewing will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Hill and Kunselman Funeral Home, 3801 College Ave., Beaver Falls, Pa. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at the Chippewa Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, conducted by The Rev. Daniel Muir and The Rev. Dr. Robert Frazier. A luncheon will follow the funeral and precede a graveside service for the family at Grandview Cemetery in Beaver Falls.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staffs of Heritage Valley Health System Beaver, Kindred Hospital at Heritage Valley, and Dr. Sarmad Ashfaq, MD, for their compassionate care of mom in her final days on this earth.
We love you, Gaga/Gram. May you rest in peace in the everlasting arms of God.
