EAST LIVERPOOL-George "Buster" Farnsworth, 75 passed away at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 following a lengthy illness.
He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on July 6, 1938 a son to the late George F. & Mary Elizabeth (Copestick) Farnsworth. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. George worked as an auto mechanic, and also raised potatoes for the Hot Dog Shoppe. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived at home by his wife, Freda (Snodgrass) Farnsworth whom he married Jan. 17, 1959; two sons: George Farnsworth Jr. and his wife Rachael of Salineville, Ohio and John Farnsworth of East Liverpool, Ohio; three daughters: Christine Byers of East Liverpool, Ohio, Geraldina McCourt of Chester, W.Va. and Lucinda Weyand and her husband Kenny of Wellsville, Ohio; two sisters: Eva Britt and Margaret Myer; nineteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two son-in-laws: Larry McCourt and Robert Byers and a grandson: Joey Hartley.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 7 p.m.
Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m.
