Wellsville Police Reports for 4-24

April 24, 2014
The Review

Officers responded to a disturbance at an Independence Square residence at 4:45 a.m. April 22. They were met by Robert Simms, age and address unknown, who said he was visiting his girlfriend, Chasta Cromer, at her residence. Cromer told police that she and Simms have a two-month-old baby together but have been broken up for awhile, which he refuses to accept. Police advised Simms of Cromer's desire that he not return. They also asked him if he had been drinking and about damage to the windshield of his 2002 Chevrolet Venture. Simms admitted to consuming five beers before driving to Wellsville from East Liverpool and said he had punched the windshield following an argument with Cromer. Police arrested Simms for public intoxication and physical control of a vehicle while under the influence, and impounded his van. He was released with his citation, as well as a no-trespass order from CMHA properties.
