CHESTER - Thelma Dawson, 91 of Chester, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014.
Born on Feb. 3, 1923, in East Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Vira (McMullen) Beebout.
She was a homemaker and a devoted member of the Chester Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Dawson; two daughters, Rosemary Trowbridge and Elaine Dawson; two sons, Denver Dawson and Roger Dawson; a brother, Kenneth Beabout; and a sister, Doris Blatchford.
Surviving are her son-in-law, Eddie Trowbridge of Warren; a daughter-in-law, Janet Dawson of Florida; two grandsons, Clifford Dawson and Jeff Dawson; a brother, Feral (Amelia) Beebout of New Cumberland; and a sister, Esther Parks of Florida.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 9, from 4-7 p.m. at the Chester Church of The Nazarene, where a funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2014. Pastor Steve Cummings will officiate.
Burial will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester.
The Nixon Funeral Home in Newell will be handling the arrangements.
