WHEELING-Betty June (Coleman) Hoyt, 84 formerly of East Liverpool, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Liza's Place in Wheeling, W.Va. following a lengthy illness.
Betty was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on Feb. 24, 1930 a daughter of the late, Jack and Grace (Kays) Coleman. Having lived some of her life in East Liverpool she was a member of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, and was the owner and operator of the Emma Power Nursing Homes, with facilities in East Liverpool and Wellsville. After moving to Bridgeport, Betty was a nanny for several doctors.
Betty is survived by three sons: Larry Weddle of Washington State, and Mark Weddle and his wife Jan of Texas and Charles Hoyt of Latrobe, Pa.; a daughter: Tina and Bruce Denham with whom Betty resided in Wheeling, W.Va.; three sisters: Nancy Cain of Utah, Emma Jean Giuliani of Wellsville and Ruth Ann Carter of East Liverpool; and four grandchildren: Danny Weddle, Michael Weddle, Steven Denham and Nicholas Denham; close family friends: Dr. Roberto Cunanan and his wife Zeny, and their children: one deceased son: Roberto and his daughter Isabelle, Don and wife Jenn and their daughter Alexis, and Chris.

In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband Jack Hoyt; whom she married June of 1963, a son: Rodger Hoyt; three brothers: Paul Coleman, Richard Coleman, and Edgar Coleman; and three sisters: Alice Coleman, Ellen Grimes, and Illa Mae Menough.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Vel Vais of Glenmoor Presbyterian Church officiating.
Burial will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park at a later time.
The family will be present to receive friends 2 hours prior to the time of service on Saturday from noon - 2 p.m.
Betty's family would like to thank the Bishop Hodges Continuous Care Center and Liza's Place in Wheeling for the excellent care that she received. Family requests that in Lieu of flowers donations be made to Liza's Place at 308 Mount St. Joseph Rd., Wheeling WV 26003.
