The Review
A Newell volunteer firefighter takes more fire hose to the scene of a brush fire in northwest Hancock County on Monday afternoon. Newell Volunteer Fire Department got the call of a brush fire on Race Track Road just east of state Route 2 at about 4:30 p.m. Monday. The fire had spread to five to eight acres, causing damage to several utility poles. Firefighters used four-wheelers to transport equipment to the area. Mon Power responded to the scene, as did fire departments from New Cumberland, Lawrenceville and Liverpool Township. (Photo by Stephen Huba)
