East Liverpool Police Reports for 3-25

March 25, 2014
The Review

Responding Friday to a report of an intoxicated man at the Giant Eagle store on Bradshaw Avenue, officers reported finding Richard D. Call, 40, Alderlick Road, Wellsville, slumped over, swaying and nearly falling near a register. He reportedly told officers he was paying for his beer, but they said there was no beer on the counter and no cashier at the checkout. Call reportedly had numerous wounds on his hands and admitted shooting up heroin in the bathroom. When patted down, Call was reportedly found in possession of a burnt spoon, syringe and a folded paper containing suspected heroin. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments and, if test results show the substance was heroin, officers advised he will be indicted through the grand jury on additional charges.
