WELLSVILLE-Karen Kay Potts, 52, of Wellsville, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born July 6, 1961 in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was the daughter of Leah (Goodballet) McIntosh of Wellsville and the late Fred L. Butcher.
Karen was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Beaver Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a step-sister, Tammy Barchoff and by her father- in-law and mother-in-law, Simon and Stella Potts.
Surviving are her husband, Roger Potts of Wellsville; three daughters, Chastity Dawn (Richard) Sloan of Wellsville, Melissa Jo Bess of Steubenville, and Brittany Potts of Wellsville;13 grandchildren, Andre, Jayce, Bradly, Cameron, Richie, Braxton, Kiah, McKenzie, Landyn, Alex, Farrah, Kayle, and Jaelynn; two brothers, Fred Butcher of Salem, and John Butcher of Newell; step-brother, Donnie Lamp of Chester; two half-brothers, Kenny Butcher of Newell, and David Butcher of Wellsville; two sisters, Linda Allison of Newell, and Diane Graves of Newell; a step-sister, Pam Roach of W.Va.; a step-mother, Madline Butcher of Newell; and her step-father, Raymond McIntosh of Wellsville.
Visitation will be Saturday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell.
