The Review
Oak Glen Middle School fifth-grader Alissa McGaffick makes her opening statement as prosecutor in Wednesday’s mock trial, while the jurors listen. Students of Jennifer Hardy and Casey Deveaney are participating in the mock trial this week as part of social studies units on the American justice system and the consequences of illegal drugs. The project was designed by the WALS (Wheeling Academy of Law and Science) Foundation. Another mock trial will be held on Friday. (Photo by Stephen Huba)
