LENDING A BROOM

March 11, 2014
The Review
On an otherwise sunny day, Lonnie Boyles, 83, of Newell, stirs up a cloud of dust Monday while sweeping the sidewalk in front of the Laurel Hollow Park overlook. Boyles said he was doing his part to keep the Newell park clean. The overlook was completed in September 2013 with grant funding obtained by the Newell Community Improvement Coalition, which also wants to install decorative lighting along Washington Street.
