Lisbon Police Reports for 3-10

March 10, 2014
The Review

Jody Jackson, South Lincoln Avenue, reported Feb. 28 being contacted by a man who identified himself as a sheriff's deputy and told her she needed to pay money to avoid being arrested. Jackson checked and learned there was no deputy by that name at the sheriff's office. She was also told police would never call and tell anyone they needed to pay money to avoid being arrested on a warrant, nor would they advise anyone to make the payment through Rite Aid. The officer called the number supplied by Jackson and a recording answered identifying the person as Magic Jack.
