EAST LIVERPOOL - Nancy Lindesmith, 60, of East Liverpool, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born May 31, 1953, in Newell, she was the daughter of the late John and Betty (Knox) Hissam Sr.
Nancy was a former finisher at W.C. Bunting Co in East Liverpool. She enjoyed working outdoors in her yard and trying to teach her husband to fish, and she always cherished family time.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Perry Hissam.
Surviving are her loving husband, Guy Lindesmith Sr. of East Liverpool, whom she married Jan 7, 1972; a son, Guy (Rikki) Lindesmith Jr. of East Liverpool; three daughters, Debbie (Mark) Emmerling of East Liverpool, Kim (Lyle) Lindesmith of East Liverpool, and Pam Lindesmith of Wellsville; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Samantha, Billi Rae, Ray, Mark, Preston, and Olivia; a sister, Clara (Brady) Clutter of Wellsville; two brothers, John E. (Ora) Hissam Jr. of Chester and David (Robin) Hissam of East Liverpool; also by Chris Murphy of East Liverpool; many nieces, nephews and friends; and by canine companions, Baby, Angel, Princess, and Chopper.
Family and friends are welcome to join a celebration of life event that will be held at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell on Saturday, March 8, 2014, from 1-3 p.m. with a memorial service being held at 3 p.m.
