February 24, 2014
The Review

Bonnie Russell, Center Road, Alliance, reported at 7:28 a.m. Friday sometime overnight someone smashed her mailbox. About two weeks earlier someone also pulled it from the ground and smashed it.

A Lisbon woman reported at 8:52 a.m. Thursday she found her father-in-law had died on the front porch of his home. KLG Ambulance contacted the coroner's office, who spoke to the man's doctor about his health history.

A domestic dispute with a husband allegedly attempting to shoot his wife's father with a crossbow and threatening to load a firearm was reported at 8:27 p.m. Thursday at a Slater Road, Salem address. The man who was threatened was in the driveway when deputies arrived, and he claimed his daughter's husband was inside the home flipping out and talking about loading a gun. Deputies could see multiple children running around inside the house and ordered the husband to exit the house with his hands up. He complied. The woman told deputies her husband came home from a rough day at work, began to drink and they argued. Her father had come into the house, grabbed his son-in-law and took him to the ground. No charges were filed.
