Highway Patrol Reports for 2-17

Danielle L. Rigsby, 27, Old Irondale Road, Wellsville, was cited for failure to control after she slid off the road while driving on state Route 7 in Madison Township at 10:56 a.m. Saturday.

Daniel D. Seaman Jr., 19, of Beaver Falls, Pa., was cited for failure to control after he slid off the road in his 2010 Dodge Avenger, which overturned on its roof, while driving on state Route 11 at 7:20 a.m. Saturday.

Angela S. Ricciardi, 51, of Youngstown, was cited for assured distance after she drove into the rear of a vehicle driven by Billie J. Thornburg, 38, of Salem, who had stopped on state Route 45 in Center Township at 11:25 a.m. Friday.

Nancy F. Setinsek, 60, of Columbiana, reportedly struck a dog, damaging the front end of her vehicle, while driving on state Route 7 in Fairfield Township at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The dog belonged to nearby resident Christopher Ardinger.

Judith L. Parnell, 23, of Struthers, was cited for failure to yield after she pulled from a private driveway into the path of a vehicle driven by Geraldine A. Morris, 78, Lisbon Road, Lisbon. The accident occurred on Lisbon Road in Center Township at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday, and the report said Parnell's view may have been obscured by a large pile of snow at the end of the driveway.

An SUV driven by Nancy K. Baker, 53, Fifth Avenue, East Liverpool, caught fire on U.S. Route 30 in Madison Township at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Baker reported she heard a noise and smelled smoke before the engine quit running. She pulled off the road and got out before the engine compartment became engulfed in flames.

Christopher A. Frankhauser, 28, Mallow Road, Minerva, was cited for OVI and failure to control after he slid off the road into a ditch while driving on U.S. Route 30 in Hanover Township at 12:59 a.m. Feb. 9.

A car belonging to Kathleen A. Morris, Churchill Road, Lisbon, was sideswiped while parked along Harvey Avenue in Center Township sometime Friday evening. Morris reported she was attending a nearby birthday party when the accident occurred between 6 p.m. and midnight. The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene.
