EAST LIVERPOOL- Joey P. Hartley, 27 of East Liverpool, died on Feb. 13, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, following a brief illness.
Joey was born in East Liverpool, on March 26,1987, a son of Christina (Farnsworth) Byers and the late Robert Byers. Having lived all of his life in the area, he graduated from Wellsville High School Class of 2007, and he attended Madison Trinity Church, with his Grandma Helen
Joey loved spending his time, fishing and camping with family. He also loved wrestling, and playing video games. He was affectionately known as the Mascot of Nentwick Convalescent Home. On his frequent visits to the nursing home, Joey loved playing black jack and bingo with the residents.

Joey leaves behind a very extended family: 2nd parents: Maryann and James Sosack of Wellsville; a brother: William Hartley of East Liverpool; a sister: Kristina Sosack and her husband Christopher; two step sisters: Amy Delauder and her husband Shawn of Wellsville, and Stephanie Ammon and her husband Ryan of East Liverpool; a step brother Michael Byers of West Point, nieces and nephews: Robert Frank, Dizray Frank, Margret Byers, Draven Hartley, Briar Hartley, Logan Byers, Mason Sosack, Liam Sosack, PJ Sosack, and Blake Ammon; grandparents: George and Freda Farnsworth, and Helen Hartley; and a girlfriend: Morgan Roe.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his grandfather Earl Hartley.
Funeral Services will be held at Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at 7 p.m. with Pastor Robert Kidd, officiating.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday Evening from 5-7 p.m.
