CALCUTTA-Marlin "Joe" Booth, 74 of Calcutta, Ohio passed away at his home Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014. He was born Aug. 16, 1939 in East Liverpool, Ohio a son to the late Kenneth & Alma (Dailey) Booth.

He attended East Liverpool High School and was a Veteran of the US Air Force. He worked as a police officer in Florida and also worked for Raythion Manufacturing Company on Ascension Island before moving back to this area 14 years ago.

He is survived by three brothers: Robert Booth, Don A. Booth and Terry M. Booth all of East Liverpool, Ohio; two sisters: Laureen "Cookie" Baker of East Liverpool, Ohio and Mabel O. Weston of Gavers, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers: John R. Booth and Brian E. Booth and two sisters: Gwendolyn K. Booth and Lily Ann Luevano.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.

Burial will follow at United Presbyterian Cemetery of Calcutta.

Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 two hours prior to the service.
