Troopers responded Saturday morning to a report of a southbound vehicle on state Route 11 driving into the median to avoid a collision with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was not struck and began following the vehicle, calling the patrol post. The vehicle in question was pulled over in St. Clair Township by a trooper, who reported a strong smell of marijuana coming from inside. The driver, Thomas M. Meltz, Boardman, and his three passengers were searched but nothing was found. When the vehicle was searched, troopers reported finding nearly 24 grams of marijuana as well as a cigarillo package and a cigar cutter and five torn bags containing plant residue.
